Randomness by Number

1) I have to labor on Labor Day. Being harvest time, it is our busy season at work right now. Everyone has to work on Monday. Coming from working in a banking environment, where I got every federal holiday off, this sucks. Even if I hadn't come from a banking environment, this sucks. In conclusion, this sucks.

2) I realized that my computer is 8 years old. I got it my freshman year in college for Christmas. It runs Windows 98, I can't even watch episodes of Ugly Betty on abc.com because their system is configured to work with only Windows 2000, XP, and Vista. Also, the other day, it stopped loading pictures on websites. I deleted the temporary internet files, and it started loading pictures again. Sadly, I can tell each day that it is slowing down more and more each day. In conclusion, this sucks.

3) As previously stated, I had jury duty for 3 days last week. It was a gender discrimination case. A lady was suing her former employer saying he had terminated her employment because she had recently filed at complaint with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. The jury decided for her in a 7-1 vote, with me as the decenting vote. I just wasn't completely convinced. Ever since then, I've been questioning myself and wondering what the others saw/heard that I obviously did not see or hear. In conclusion, this sucks.

4) Notre Dame lost to Georgia Tech 33-3. WTF, Notre Dame, wtf? In conclusion, this sucks.

Notre Dame 11/4/06 game

Some pictures from last Saturday's game, Notre Dame vs. University of North Carolina.

A Tarheels fan sitting behind me unsuccessfully predicted the game early on, after hearing that UNC won the coin toss he said, "Alright, they won, the game is over, let's go home!" I sat right in the middle of the UNC section and listened to amusing comments like this all throughout the game. Fun times!



Players walk from the Cathedral to the stadium about 2 hours before the game. The white guy would be Brady Quinn, the Quarterback. I myself am a bigger fan of Jeff Samardzija, if only because I think he's cuter (although not in that picture!). Oh yes, I am that shallow and I just went there.

Touchdown Jesus. Near the end of the game, a little boy sitting behind my dad turned to his father and asked if UNC was going to be able to win. Hearing this, my dad turned around and said, "See Jesus over there? Look at his arms, even He's already predicting that Notre Dame will get more touchdowns!" The boy's reply was a long drawn out, "Wow!" The boy's father rolled his eyes and thankfully started laughing.
