We didn't get the huge wallup that Oklahoma/Kansas got from the ice storm last week, but we did get around half an inch of ice which made for some fun driving. I really wish someone had a camera on me as I was trying to scrape the ice off my windshield and sliding down my iced-over parking lot. Everytime I'd take a swing at my windshield (and I had to swing to get through about 1/4 inch of ice), I'd slide a little further way from my car. In the end, I had to hook my foot under my front tire to hold myself steady. I'm pretty sure I looked like a flailing retard trying not to fall. I'm thinking I could have won some money on America's Funniest Videos if that show is still on!

Christmas 2007, my first Christmas

I've never had a fake tree before. It was quite amusing when I got it home and started putting it together to find that damn this thing is huge! It sure didn't look that big in the store! It has about a 6 foot diameter on the bottom, and is 7.5 feet tall! I had to get my dad over to put the star on top, because even with a step ladder, I couldn't reach the top branch.

I'm happy with it though!

I was in Pittsburgh this last weekend for a wedding. I had somehow forgotten what Pennsylvania looked like in the fall. I remember in college it was one of my favorite times of the year, especially the long weekend we had in October. It was usually over my birthday weekend, and right at the time that the leaves were hitting their peak colors. These pictures really do no justice to the vibrant, beautiful colors that looked like they were painted on the hillsides.

I sometimes wish I left early for work so I could pull over and get some proper pictures of the sunrises I've seen lately. I like my sleep to much for that though, oh well!
